Biography
Toufik Ahmed received the B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, with high honors, from the, the I.N.I (National Institute of Computer Science) Algiers, Algeria, in 1999. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science from the University of Versailles, France, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. Toufik Ahmed was a visiting scientist at the School of Computer Science of the University of Waterloo in 2002 and research fellow at PRiSM laboratory of the University of Versailles until 2004. He is currently an associate professor at ENSEIRB school of engineers / LaBRI Laboratory of the University of Bordeaux I. His main research activities concern Quality of Service for multimedia wired and wireless networks, end-to-end signalling protocols, and policy-based networking. His work on quality of service and video delivering has led to many publications in major journals and conferences (Journal of Selected Area in Communication “JSAC”, Computer Communication Journal “ComCom”, IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo “ICME”, IEEE International Conference on Communications “ICC”, Globecom, Packet Video “PV”, MMNS, …). |
