Getting to Bordeaux
The international Bordeaux-Mérignac airport lies 12km (7 miles)
to the west of the city. It services 18 national and 22 international destinations.
The TGV high-speed train service links Bordeaux (Gare St-Jean, to the
south-east of the city) less than to Paris-Montparnasse in 3 hours; Toulouse
is a 2-hour journey away.
Getting to Lacanau
If you come from Paris or Toulouse, take the Rocade A630 direction
"Mérignac-Aéroport", then take "Exit 7: Eysines, Le Haillan"
and follow road N215 and D6 to Lacanau.
At Lacanau-ville, follow Lacanau-Océan. After
approx. 5 kilometers, you will see the golf and the conference site on
If you are in the center of Bordeaux, take the Boulevard
to "Barrière du Médoc" and then follow "Eysines-Le Haillan".
If you arrive by plane, the simplest way is to
take the shuttle from Bordeaux-Mérignac airport
to Gare St-Jean railway station. This service is provided
by Jet'bus and costs 35F (~6$). Departure from the airport
Exit Arrival n° 7, every 30 minutes. Journey time: 30 to 45 minutes
depending on traffic.
From Gare St-Jean railway station, take the bus n°
(Cars Ouest Aquitains) to Lacanau. Departure in front of
the station at 08h30 am, 12h00 and 19h15 (this schedule is only valid until
